SIMOLA HOTEL COUNTRY CLUB & SPA

Welcome to Simola. Welcome Home

Why home? Well, because all of us at the Simola Hotel, Country Club & Spa genuinely want to make you feel welcome, relaxed and completely at home while you enjoy the luxury and class of our beautifully-designed and beautifully-appointed facilities.

Built high on a ridge overlooking 13 of the 18 holes of our Simola Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, the Hotel was designed to make best advantage of its amazing vistas over Knysna, the Knysna Lagoon and the Indian Ocean in the distance.

With accommodation for 160 guests, a bistro-style restaurant (and glassed-in wine cellar), a spa and gym, indoor- and outdoor swimming pools, conference rooms, children’s playground, MTB hire - and, of course, our Simola Golf Clubhouse and Pro Shop - Simola Hotel, Country Club & Spa is perfectly suited to independent travellers, tour groups, and business travellers alike.

And surrounded as it is by the beauty of nature, it’s sometimes difficult to remember that Simola’s just 6 km from the centre of Knysna - and all the attractions of the Garden Route and Klein Karoo.

Welcome to Simola. Welcome Home

DINING AT SIMOLA

We know: it’s difficult to concentrate on your food and wine when you’re sitting in a room that boasts those amazing, panoramic views of the Simola Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, the Knysna Estuary, and the Indian Ocean in the distance.

But if we could have your attention for just a moment? Because we’d like to point out that our restaurant at the Simola Hotel, Country Club & Spa boasts an excellent, satisfying, bistro-style menu - and a unique, glass-walled wine cellar that was designed to take best advantage of the views. (Sigh. There’s no getting away from it.)

The restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner every day; lunch and light meals are usually served in our golf club lounge.

However, since we’re able to divide the restaurant into two separate rooms, it’s available for special occasions at any time of the day - breakfast, lunch or dinner.

SIMOLA SPA

On top of the world, looking down on creation. Set high in the hills above Knysna, Simola commands an awe-inspiring view of the entire surroundings, taking in rolling hills, valleys and a vast shimmering blue expanse of the Knysna lagoon leading to the famous Heads etched on the horizon...

An exhilarating sense of boundless space... Incorporated into the Hotel is the Simola Spa, where guests can indulge in specialised body therapies and beauty treatments. Swim in our curved, glass-enclosed heated pool or work out in the gym whilst gazing out at the view. Our holistic focus is on balancing body, mind and spirit. We understand that by relieving stress, through the use of massage, one is able to focus - leaving you relaxed and energised to enjoy life and all the gifts it has to offer.

Hours | Monday - Sunday: 08h00 - 19h00 (Extended hours during high season)

GOLF AT SIMOLA

Simola’s Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course is living proof of just how great ‘Golf’s Greatest Champion’ really is when it comes to designing with nature.

Set in probably the most scenic town in Africa, situated lower than the ridges that surround it - and therefore untroubled by the wind that plagues so may coastal courses - and boasting an unusual configuration of five par-5s and five par-3s, Simola offers challenging and rewarding golf for pros and high-handicap players alike.
